You start the consultation via 247dermatologist. You upload photos of your skin complaint and answer a few targeted questions about duration, symptoms, and any medication. Within your chosen response time, you will receive a written report containing my assessment, a diagnosis or differential diagnosis, and treatment recommendations. If medically indicated, I will issue a prescription.
There are three options, depending on how quickly you want an answer:
  • Standard, within 48 hours: €39
  • Fast, within 24 hours: €59
  • Express, within 12 hours: €79
You pay a one-time fee per consultation. No subscription, no follow-up costs.
Within the chosen response time, calculated from the moment I receive your consultation. In practice, often faster. The response time is a maximum, not a target value.
Yes, if medically indicated. I write the prescription in accordance with the Dutch Medicines Act. You can redeem it at most Spanish pharmacies. The medicines I prescribe are in almost all cases also available in Spain, sometimes under a different brand name. I indicate the active ingredient in the report so that the pharmacist can assist you further.
Yes. Assessing suspicious spots is a large part of my work. With good photos, I can determine in most cases whether a spot requires further investigation or if further care is sufficient. If I am unsure whether a physical examination is necessary, I will indicate this clearly and refer you to appropriate local care.
Teledermatology does not replace a full physical examination when necessary. If I believe a physical consultation is required, I will indicate this in my report with concrete advice on where you can go, both in the Netherlands and in Spain. In that case, you simply pay the consultation fee, but you receive well-founded advice that you can use to move forward.
No. You can start a consultation directly, without a referral letter. You do not need to ask anyone for permission.
The 247dermatologist platform is certified under NEN 7510, the Dutch standard for information security in healthcare. All data is stored encrypted on European servers, in accordance with the GDPR. Your photos and consultation report are accessible only to you and me.
The consultation takes place in Dutch. If desired, I can also communicate in English, German, or Spanish. Please indicate this during the intake.
Online consultations via 247dermatologist fall outside the DBC system and are not reimbursed by the Dutch basic health insurance. Some supplementary insurance policies do cover online dermatology. If in doubt, check with your insurer. You will receive an invoice after the consultation, which you may wish to submit.
Yes. You do not need a Dutch passport or BSN. The service is intended for anyone seeking Dutch-language dermatological care, regardless of nationality or residence status.
If the advice is unclear or questions remain, you can ask for further explanation free of charge within the consultation. In the rare event that I can't do anything with your photos or complaint, you will get your money back.
